Data retention

In general, we keep your personal data for as long as necessary to carry out the purposes for which it was collected or if we have a legitimate interest in retaining it beyond that period.
The retention periods for the data we collect are as follows:

  • Data concerning your purchases/bookings (customer account and order history) is kept for as long as you are an “active” customer and for a maximum of 5 years from your last activity (e.g. last purchase or last login to your customer account).
  • Data concerning your payment methods is not kept beyond the end of our contractual relationship, which expires at the end of the service ordered.
  • Data concerning your requests for information or quotations, brochure orders, subscriptions to our news (new products, product information, promotional offers, etc.), notifications and personalised content by e-mail, complaints, participation in our surveys, polls or competitions are kept for a maximum of 3 years from the last contact you initiated or from your last activity;
  • Data relating to identity documents that you send us is kept for a maximum of 12 months.
  • The data collected automatically by means of cookies, including those relating to navigation, are kept for a maximum of 13 months.
    At the end of the above-mentioned periods, some of your personal data may be archived, with restricted access, in order to meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations and/or during the applicable limitation period and/or in the event of legal proceedings for the duration of said proceedings. Once these retention periods have expired, your personal data will be permanently deleted.

Consequently, SARTHE TOURISME declines all responsibility regarding the processing of Your Personal Data by these third parties. Article 8 – Transfer of personal data

In case of access to the Site from a country outside the European Union whose legislation on the collection, use and transfer of data differs from that of the European Union, we draw your attention to the fact that by continuing to use the Site, which is governed by French law, the corresponding Terms of Use and this Policy, You are transferring Your Personal Data to the European Union and consent to this transfer.

  • the processing of personal data does not comply with the provisions of the applicable laws and regulations.

However, the exercise of this right will not be possible when the retention of your personal data is required by law or regulation and in particular, for example, for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

You may request the restriction of the processing of your personal data in the cases provided for by the legislation and regulations.

Where the data processing operations we carry out are based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time. We will then stop processing your personal data without affecting the previous operations to which you have consented.

Your right to appeal

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL on French territory, without prejudice to any other administrative or legal remedy.

Your right to define post-mortem directives

You have the opportunity to set out instructions for the retention, deletion and disclosure of your personal data after your death with a trusted, certified third party who will enforce the wishes of the deceased in accordance with the requirements of the applicable legal framework.

Note: the documents sent in the framework of this procedure will be purely destroyed, and the data potentially collected during the procedure will be permanently deleted at the end of the procedure.

Note also that all applications that do not follow these guidelines will be ignored.

We undertake to respond to these requests within 1 month of receipt. This period may be extended by 2 months depending on the complexity and number of requests received, for a total of 3 months.

If you have an account, you can exercise your rights of access and rectification by logging into your account.

However, with regard to the exercise of the right to information, we may not be obliged to act on it if :

  • you already have this information;
  • the recording or communication of your personal data is expressly provided for by law;
  • the provision of information is impossible;
  • the provision of information would require disproportionate efforts.

Article 10 – Security and recipients of data

SARTHE TOURISME takes care to protect and secure the Personal Data that you have chosen to communicate to it, in order to ensure their confidentiality and prevent them from being distorted, damaged, destroyed or disclosed to unauthorised third parties.
